📘 My Teaching Approach
I use a structured, student-centered approach designed to keep learners engaged and actively participating throughout the lesson.
Each lesson is divided into two parts:
1. Guided Notes (Teacher-Led Instruction)
Students receive a notes sheet where I model and explain each type of problem step by step. As I teach, students follow along, write, and ask questions. This ensures they stay on task and clearly understand the process.
2. Immediate Practice (You Do Section)
After each example, students immediately apply what they’ve learned on a separate worksheet.
Each “You Do” problem directly matches the example just taught
The structure and solution process are intentionally similar
This builds confidence and reinforces understanding before moving on
This cycle continues throughout the lesson:
👉 I Do → We Discuss → You Do → Repeat
🎯 Why This Works
Keeps students engaged and accountable
Provides immediate practice and feedback
Builds confidence through structured repetition
Supports all learners with clear, guided steps
🧠 How to Use My Worksheets
Use the notes sheet during instruction
Pause after each example
Assign the corresponding You Do problem
Review quickly before moving forward
This format is ideal for:
✔️ Math classrooms
✔️ Intervention and support classes
✔️ Teachers who want structured, easy-to-follow lessons
