About the store

Experience

I have taught 7th, 8th, 9th and 10th grade Math in the Junior High School. In Senior High School, I have handled Math subjects such as Pre-Calculus, Basic Calculus and Statistics and Probability. Moreover, I have had an opportunity to teach Differential Calculus and Integral Calculus in a college institution here in Philippines.

Teaching style

I am an advocate of growth mindset in mathematics education. I love incorporating growth mindset messages in teaching my students. Moreover, I am a fan of utilizing interactive math games where students can learn and enjoy at the same time. I am not the type of a teacher who directly gives the rules or anything about the lesson but I make sure that my students have the opportunity to discover it themselves. Lastly, I apply inquiry-based approach in teaching math in my class, so expect that I throw a lot of questions to my students to develop their critical thinking as well as communication skills by sharing their thoughts and opinions in class.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Modesty aside, I graduated as one of the Cum Laude graduates of our batch and it is all for the glory of God who gifted me with wisdom and strength to achieve my dream.

My own education history

I graduated from a State College in the Philippines last 2016 with a degree in Secondary Education major in Mathematics. Also, I have had units in Master of Arts in Education major in Educational Management and Mathematics Education.

Additional biographical information

I am Licensed Professional Mathematics Teacher in Secondary Education here in the Philippines. I passed the Licensure Examination for Teachers right after my graduation. I also did volunteer job in my High School Alma Matter. In addition, I had completed my Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) Certification last December of 2020.
