About the store
I bring decades of classroom and coaching experience across middle and high school mathematics, having taught everything from 7th grade math through advanced high school courses. In addition to classroom teaching, I served in district roles supporting vertical alignment and helping teachers strengthen lesson design. My work has always centered on student growth—asking, “What does it look like when students truly understand?” I believe students learn when they are ready, and effective teaching means meeting them where they are and moving forward with intention. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support teachers in creating lessons that make understanding visible, attainable, and sustainable.

Experience

I bring decades of classroom and coaching experience across middle and high school mathematics, having taught everything from 7th grade math through advanced high school courses. In addition to classroom teaching, I served in district roles supporting vertical alignment and helping teachers strengthen lesson design. My work has always centered on student growth—asking, “What does it look like when students truly understand?” I believe students learn when they are ready, and effective teaching means meeting them where they are and moving forward with intention. I’m grateful for the opportunity to support teachers in creating lessons that make understanding visible, attainable, and sustainable.

Teaching style

My teaching style is student-centered and concept-driven. I introduce broad mathematical ideas and intentionally guide students toward deeper, more focused understanding. I believe in meeting students where they are and building forward with clarity and purpose. Through structured discovery, discussion, and collaboration, I facilitate learning experiences that allow students to uncover mathematical relationships rather than memorize procedures—building confidence, reasoning, and lasting understanding.

Additional biographical information

I am a mother of four sons and a proud dog mom to four dogs. Outside of education, I serve as Minister of Music at my church and enjoy creative pursuits such as sewing, knitting, crocheting, playing the piano, and singing. These creative and musical practices deeply influence how I approach life and learning. I am also the author of MathScripts: Algebra 1, my first published book.
