The puzzle is a 4x4 magic square where each row and column add to the same MAGIC number! Each box contains a multi-step linear equation, using inverse operations, combining like terms, and the distributive property. This magic square allows students to self-check their answers - if they are not getting the same number in each row and each column, then they have made an error!
