I have taught kindergarten, 3rd, and 6th grade. For the past 6 years I have been teaching junior high 7th and 8th grade math. I am currently an 8th grade math. I teach a remedial pre-algebra math class.
Students will solve 10 problems with a partner. Place the papers, printed on cardstock and laminated, randomly around the room. They will add, subtract, multiply, divide, and compare fractions, decimals, and percents with a partner. Partner A has a different problem than Partner B, but they should have the same answer for immediate assessment. Walk around and monitor.
Students will solve 10 problems around the room with a partner. Make sure to put the cards in random order. Each page has two problems, one for Partner A and one for Partner B. They should get the same answer for immediate assessment and then move on to the next problem, using their answer to find the next problem to solve. There are 10 problems total including percent of a number, comparing rational numbers, and converting between fractions, decimals, and percents for basic review.
This is a short bell activity for kids to match up with seat partners to review translations and reflections. There are six problems and they need to put the corresponding answers in the correct answers in the correct order.
Students will solve 10 problems with a partner. Partner A and partner B should have the same answer and move on. The answers are already in order, so put the pages in random order around the room. If the kids do the problems correctly, the last answer will take them back to the beginning.
Students will solve 10 problems with a partner. Each answer will lead them to the next question. Put the cards up in random order so they do not figure out that the next answer is just the next paper on the wall around the room.
