This package of twelve PowerPoint files includes lessons from an introduction to trigonometry using similar triangles, through right-angled trigonometry (SOHCAHTOA), the Sine & Cosine Laws and using these tools to solve various applications. A notepad file is also included that lists a suggested order. All PowerPoint files are completely editable. All lessons use multiple custom animations to simulate writing lessons on a white or black board when teaching concepts.
This PowerPoint discusses the calculus concept of how and average rate of change can approximate an instantaneous rate of change as the secant points approach each other.
The difference quotient concept is developed and used in some examples.
The PowerPoint uses over 40 custom animations to simulate what a teacher would write on a white or black board to teach a lesson on this topic.
This PowerPoint shows proofs of both the Power Differentiating and Constant Multiple Rules. Several examples use these differentiation rules for polynomial functions.
The PowerPoint uses over 50 custom animations to simulate what a teacher would write on a white or black board to teach a lesson on this topic.
This PowerPoint shows an example of graphing a piecewise function with a discontinuous point.
The properties of limits are listed and six examples showing how to evaluate limits of indeterminate forms including factoring and one involving radicals.
The PowerPoint uses over 40 custom animations to simulate what a teacher would write on a white or black board to teach a lesson on this topic.
This 7 page PowerPoint discusses the first principles definition of the derivative, the important derivative values (zero and undefined) and works through five examples of using the derivative definition to find the derivative of a polynomial and simple rational functions and also and example showing how to graph the derivative using slopes of tangents.

Experience
I've been teaching (mostly) mathematics in the province of Ontario, Canada since 1988. I have taught many course online or at a distance since 1994.

Teaching style
I teach by making connections between topics and across disciplines, when possible. I use a lecture style format, but give students lots of wait-time so they can make connections that helps build understanding.
