About the store

I am a middle school math teacher with elementary school experience. I've taught 1st-5th, been a math coach, and now am teaching 7th grade math and loving it. I enjoyed the little ones, but adore teaching math to the older students. Working with technology is a passion of mine, and my students crave it. Whether it be working with our responders to track our progress, using our smart board to enhance lessons, or communicating on Edmodo and Remind.

Teaching style

I am organized but full of laughs and love to bring humor into the equation...no pun intended! I am always looking for creative ways to solve problems and help students to truly understand the concepts we are learning, not just memorize. I want the math to be solid and correct, but I don't want it to be boring. EVERYONE - kids and colleagues alike - know I love learning, math, and teaching.

My own education history

I have a Bachelors of Music Education from the University of Florida, and a Masters of Elementary Education from Rollins College. In between my degrees, I worked on a Masters Degree in Music Performance as well as a professional musician and violin shop clerk in Chicago. When I relocated back home to Orlando, I realized I really wanted to be teaching, so I became an elementary teacher just like my mom!
