This can be used with ALL SUBJECTS AND GRADES! I have been using this homework chart for a month now and the students love it. It puts the responsibility of their homework grade on them. It teaches them time management, in that they have a week to complete their homework, and it allows them to work on assignments that are at their level. This is a tic tac toe type chart that can be used to help recall the integer facts for multiplcation. No matter how it is read, it is always correct! + x + = + + x - = - - x + = - - x - = +

Good for all subject areas. Here, students are given a list of assignments that have a certain point value. They are responsible in making sure that their homework adds up to 100 points at the end of the week. Again, point values and assignments can (and will) vary, but this is how I set mine up for my classes.

Here is a classroom activity that can be used at the end of the year. Students create their own yearbook where they draw their classmates, describe them in 4 words and then answer questions about themselves.

I use this on the first day of school to get the students up and moving, get them talking to each other and its a nifty little pre assessment. The squares can be changed (I put silly questions in such as "who knows Mrs. K's old name" etc. Lots of fun.

This is a type of classroom management tool that is easy for the children to remember and simple to implement. Eventually all you have to do is hold up 5 fingers when you want their attention.

RUNWAY is something that I have used with my students to help them construct an extended responses.

Used at the end of the school year. The students are asked to created 5 word problems from different strands of mathematics. They are to created the cord problems and supply the answers.
