I am currently a 7th and 8th grade math teacher in Texas. I absolutely love working with my students and helping them learn math! I thoroughly enjoy making posters and printables to use post around the room that get students involved and assist with their learning. Makes for a fun learning environment. I also make the majority of our inserts for our notebooks. Enjoy!

Rational Numbers Menu Activity
Students are given the Pythagorean Pizza Palace menu where they will have a meal. Students must select an item from each category, filling in the recording sheet as they go, and then determine how much they will spend on their meal.
Each category represents a form of positive rational numbers: decimal, percents, mixed numbers, and improper fractions. This ensures each form is used in the activity.

Additional biographical information
I am a graduate of the University of North Texas. I am certified EC-6 generalist, and have a supplemental certification in ESL. I student taught first and fifth grade and have done a variety of activities with other grade levels. I've been a 6th grade math teacher at a Title I district and absolutely loved it! I am currently a 7th and 8th Grade on-level and math intervention teacher.
