About the store

Experience

I have been teaching for 19 years. I spent a few years in 3rd and 4th grade, and 2 years as an A.I.S. provider, but I have found my home in 6th Grade Math. I have always loved math, and I love it even more that I get to teach it!

Teaching style

I teach the whole child. I believe in child-centered learning, with the child's spirit at heart. I love my curriculum, but I love my students more. They need to feel stress free, calm, and safe to learn in my classroom. I encourage mistakes to be discussed and explored.

My own education history

I have a Bachelors in Speech Pathology and Audiology and a Masters in Elementary Education grades K-6. I also have over 75 credits in professional development courses.

Additional biographical information

I am a mother of an adorable little genius, and a wife of a slightly annoying but big-hearted genius! Having such smart people in my life reminds me to differentiate for the high level students as much as the special needs students! They also keep me on my toes!
