This activity is a great way to introduce a unit on shapes, activate math conversation and build vocabulary around shapes. It can be used whole group, in small group, or the printable version can be used as a worksheet. Allows for discussion of sides and angles, polygons, and quadrilaterals. Students are asked to choose which object does not belong and provide a reason why they believe so. Activity is open-ended but I have provided possible solutions.
