This worksheet gives students practice measuring shapes to the nearest centimeter and adding the side lengths to find the perimeter. Includes two different versions. 4 shapes on each version. *Print as default so the measurements are accurate.

Provided are 3 pages on measurement covering skills like measuring objects to the nearest cm and in, drawing line segments, drawing shapes with specific side measurements, finding perimeter, and finding the difference between measurements. The worksheets are designed to be used with Rally Coach, where students pair up to teach, coach, and praise one another while they work. This strategy supports cooperation, communication, and mastery of skills.

This activity is a great way to introduce a unit on shapes, activate math conversation and build vocabulary around shapes. It can be used whole group, in small group, or the printable version can be used as a worksheet. Allows for discussion of sides and angles, polygons, and quadrilaterals. Students are asked to choose which object does not belong and provide a reason why they believe so. Activity is open-ended but I have provided possible solutions.
