This activity is an engaging way to connect your lessons on prime numbers, prime factors and prime factorization to real world applications. Prime numbers play a crucial role in many security encryption applications such as banking, online purchases, emails, text messages etc. ✚✚✚✚How to Use Prime Number Cryptography✚✚✚✚In this activity, students learn how to encrypt and decrypt messages using a substitution cipher. Each letter is scrambled using a key, which is the product of 2 prime numbers.

I have taught Grade 6, 7 and 8 Math and Science/Technology.
Teaching style
I enjoy a mixture of direct instruction with hands-on tasks, open ended problem solving, review games. I believe in a positive classroom environment that allows students to take risks. Engaging Science projects and assignments are a passion of mine, to allow students to learn by doing, and to relate learning to real world applications.
