About the store
All my life I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Almost every single job I took on since high school has been related to teaching or children. The one thing that has consistently gotten me several jobs was my bubbly and outgoing personality. I am so quirky and fun that most jobs relating to sales loved me and my enthusiasm. I have always been patient, and when I dealt with upset customers, I've always shined and impressed my co-workers. Now, I have been working in the school system for more than 6 years. I've worked with all grades from 5th to 12th as either a teacher or a tutor. I am very proud of the progress I've made in my personal growth as an educator.

According to Frank Otto from drexel.edu, "At any skill level, making art reduces stress hormones." I believe by mixing art with math, it can potentially prevent math anxiety and lessen the stress of classwork. "Negative feelings and stressful situations can interfere to different degrees with success in mathematical tasks," states Maloney and Beilock in an article called, "Stress, Time Pressure, Strategy Selection and Math Anxiety in Mathematics: A Review of the Literature" found in frontiersin.

Experience

All my life I knew I wanted to be a teacher. Almost every single job I took on since high school has been related to teaching or children. The one thing that has consistently gotten me several jobs was my bubbly and outgoing personality. I am so quirky and fun that most jobs relating to sales loved me and my enthusiasm. I have always been patient, and when I dealt with upset customers, I've always shined and impressed my co-workers. Now, I have been working in the school system for more than 6 years. Teaching style

I am very artsy and creative! I thrive on creating new and fun ideas especially for lesson planning. When I interned as a teacher at several schools, many teachers loved my ideas and openly admitted to wanting to use it the consecutive year. My first full year of teaching was an eye opener; I learned so much. I have improved on my classroom management skills, came up with new fun activities for my students, and mastered balancing work and life outside of work. Overall, I believe I am an awesome math teacher and I look forward to many more years of perfecting myself as a teacher of children.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was nominated Teacher of the Month for December 2021 at Doral Academy Preparatory.
