This document includes a warm-up exercise to support algebra tiles manipulatives for multiplying binomials and guided notes for using three methods when multiplying binomials (FOIL, Box Method, and Double distribute). There are graphic organizers for each method and there is ample space for students to show their steps and take notes. There is also a HW assignement including answer key.

In this activity, students work in pairs to investigate the sample space of the sum of rolling two dice. Then they conduct an experimental to see how their results compare. Graphs are made of the sample space, group results, and whole class results to see center clustering behavior as a probability distribution. (Bell Curve) The kids really like this activity. Great fun and motivation!

In this activity students measure their heart rate in beats per minute. The data is collected and organized in a frequency table then graphed in a histogram.

This packet/handout allows students plenty of room to take notes as they learn how to write a set using interval notation. The students solve simple and compound inequalities and write the solution set in interval notation and display it on a number line. I document is designed for a two-day lesson but it could be done in one day. There is also a homework assignment with answer key.

In this activity students flip coins and record the results to see how experimental probability approaches theoretical probability as the number of trials increases. A graph at the end shows the concept visually. Great motivation and fun!
