This is a set of 18 February themed word problems. These problems are formatted like the multiplication and division structures in Teaching Student Centered Mathematics by John Van de Walle and LouAnn Lovin. This is a set of 28 cute heart themed fact family cards. Students analyze the three numbers in each heart and share a fact that can be made by multiplying or dividing the numbers. Use the fact family template included to have students record all the facts in the family. Cards use factors of 3 through 9.

This activity is to be used with a calendar pocket chart. Run calendar squares on colored card stock. Cut apart and laminate for repeated use. There is a square with an answer for each of the days of the month. Answers for the problems are the numbers 1- 28, 30, or 31 depending on the month.
