This is the multiple choice test using the definitions and the sentences of the vocab words from lesson 12. Includes answer key with explanations. There is also a QR code that leads to my online version that you are welcome to save and use.

This is a story using the words from Roots 5th grade lesson 12. Students will read the story and find the contextual surrounding hints that give them the meaning of their vocab words. I use this as the first activity before they get the definitions. It helps the student to investigate and think critically to figure out the definitions. They remember them longer if they have to figure it out.

This is the Blooket template for 5th grade vocab lesson 12. Once you download it you must save it as a CSV file instead of an Excel spreadsheet file. Then you can directly upload it to blooket. Feel free to contact me if you have any problems.
