Simple editable title pages, for people who like to keep it simple. Includes sections: Schedule, Seating Plan, Routines, Classroom Management, Allergies & Medical Considerations, Emergency Procedures, and School Logins. Slip into a binder with some numbered dividers, add in your own info, and you're done!

After introducing safety symbols, give the kids the following scenario: “You are doing a dangerous experiment in the Science lab, you have to leave your dangerous liquid and come back. Leave a note describing what it is so no one will touch it…” I leave out a flask (it's so sciencey and mysterious to them!) filled with water and food-colouring. They complete the attached sheet, coming up with a name, its danger symbols and what it would look like if someone touched it.

Good for mammals or other animals that follow the pattern: baby, young, adult. I used this as part of a student research project. They had to research animals and find the names of their young. They've already done a lot of work with life cycles, so now they must create their own life cycle for their animal based on what they know. This sheet is just to collect their knowledge of the life cycle before they make a bigger, better version to present to the class.

This Father's Day Mini-book is perfect to work on the week before Father's Day. It has sentence stems that scaffold the story arc and lots of room on the half-page to draw pictures. The file is editable. Pages 1-5 create one mini-book featuring a story of the child with dad. Pages 6-10 are edited so that the word "dad" is removed and the child can fill in another role model in their life (grandpa, uncle, etc.). This is editable and is an alternative to the traditional rubric. Instead of weighing the students down with too many words, focus on what they need to succeed. If they go beyond in a category, then you write your comment in the above column of the checklist. If they go below in a category, vice versa. FM = Level 3 = B Grade The bottom EU ideas section could be removed or changed to give room for teacher comments.

Things to consider when you're planning a field trip.

This book report includes places for setting, plot, character analysis, new word learning, text-to-self and a personal rating/reflection. Very basic. This is my back-up plan for the students who don't opt for the more creative book report methods. See "Not Your Grandma's Book Report" (also on tPt) for more ideas on the creative end.
