I use this power point each year on the first day of school. It is a great combination of relationship building activities and informational products that your students will need for the upcoming school year.
This can be adapted for any grade level.
This is a test that I created for my OCS HS course. It tests their knowledge of counting change, calculating sales tax and tips. I created a simple menu (with prices) on poster board to use with this test.
This foldable combines finding slope from a graph, using the slope formula, and from the slope-intercept form equation. Have students cut on each dotted line.
I used this with my OCS classroom. This PPT goes through different shapes that students will see daily in the real-world. It gives attributes of each.
Including: parallel lines, perpendicular lines, square, cone, cube...
When I was teaching OCS Math I struggled to find any pre-made assignments that went along with the curriculum I was expected to teach. In particular, reading schedules was a topic that was very scarce. I have created several assignments that are based on reading everyday schedules and there are multiple questions attached to each.
This particular assignment is based on reading an Airline Schedule; it has 2 sets of questions attached. These can be used as a classwork assignment or quiz/test.
