I designed this lesson to help students understand the thinking that goes into a multistep problem. The students are supplied with a thinking bubble and an answer bank. The student must READ the word problem and figure out what each number means. This lesson is great for students who struggle with the thinking behind a word problem. I would love your feedback.

This activity is called Odd Man Out. It is for students to solve those NOT questions, such as which number sentence does NOT belong. It is 10 sets of 4 where students must identify which does not belong. I hope you like my product.

This activity is a game in which students must identify out of the 4 representations which one is incorrect. It allows for great in-depth discussion in groups.
