This resource is a 24 task card activity complete with a recording sheet and answer key. I made this activity to model 3.5E with only addition and subtraction to scaffold instruction. The questions start off easy and then progress to harder more wordier questions. This activity is modeled after the Name It activity from Lead4ward. It is designed to help students model thinking while solving multistep problems. The answer bank allows students to VISUALLY see the thinking a teacher does when he/she makes a strip diagram for a multistep problem. It also helps students to go back and READ the word problem and decipher what the numbers mean and how to use the numbers. I hope you like my activity :)
