This product was made to use with Texas 4th graders. As a teacher one of the things we are always limited on is time!! So I created this as a 10 day STAAR READINESS Review strategy that should take 15-20 minutes. All the questions hit the 13 Readiness standards of 4th graders. This 24 question QR task card activity focuses on 5th grade STAAR standards of PEMDAS without exponents. One of the things I hate about PEMDAS is how easy it can be to practice it wrong. So I made these QRs to link to VIDEOS not just answers!! This videos are about 1 minute each and are great to ensure that the students are not practicing it wrong!! This activity is modeled after the Name It activity from Lead4ward. It is designed to help students model thinking while solving multistep problems. The answer bank allows students to VISUALLY see the thinking a teacher does when he/she makes a strip diagram for a multistep problem. I designed this lesson to help students understand the thinking that goes into a multistep problem. The students are supplied with a thinking bubble and an answer bank.
