I love using error analysis in my classroom. It helps students understand problems on a deeper level by tasking them to not only know how to work a problem but to also find the error in other’s work. These two worksheets allow for either four or six students (per sheet) to share their work anonymously and have it analyzed by others.

In this activity, students cut out five different net shapes and use tape or glue, to attach the sides together. I often use this activity in Geometry on the first day of school, so (as a review) I have my students answer questions about their figure (questions included in activity).

Students will strengthen their knowledge of shapes and their nets by using this card sort activity in which they will match the shape to the correct net. This activity contains directions, a set of shape cards, a set of net cards, a student answer sheet, and a teacher answer key.

Students will use cube, isometric, orthographic, and foundation drawings to build cube structures. This activity a set of diagram cards.

Students will make a net drawing of a three-dimensional figure using a container that can be unfolded and flattened. This activity contains student worksheet with directions and questions that must be answered based on their real-life net figure.
