About the store
Welcome to my store! I am a 27 year elementary educator. After a few years in first grade, I moved up to upper elementary and have never looked back! My heart is in 5th grade Science and Social Studies, but I do have many years in 5th grade math as well. I was fortunate enough to gain online experience as one of my grade level digital teachers during the Covid year.

Experience

Welcome to my store! I am a 27 year elementary educator. After a few years in first grade, I moved up to upper elementary and have never looked back! My heart is in 5th grade Science and Social Studies, but I do have many years in 5th grade math as well. I was fortunate enough to gain online experience as one of my grade level digital teachers during the Covid year.

Teaching style

I believe a child yearns for learning! My experience has taught me the best method to engage students is one where the students can connect their world to what they are learning. Meeting students at their level with real world situations is the perfect way to ensure interest with new concepts. The love of building relationships with my students has kept me in the classroom instead of the principal's office!

My own education history

I hold a bachelor and master's degree in Early Childhood Education. My Specialist degree is in administration. I also have a gifted endorsement and am certified in Family and Consumer Science 6-12.

Additional biographical information

My husband and I are empty nesters who love to road trip! I love to explore the historical and science places I have brought to life in my classroom all of these years. When I'm not behind my computer creating educational resources, you will find me behind my sewing machine creating quilts! We have three daughters in our blended family and four grandsons. Our youngest is in her third year as an elementary teacher as well! 💖
