Experience

My first year of teaching was on a self contained, special education classroom for grades K-2. Although I absolutely loved my job, they decided to close my class and offer me a 1st grade gen ed position! I have been happily teaching 1st grade for two years now!

Teaching style

When thinking about students in a classroom, I try to envision what the ideal work environment would be for myself. Something innovative that I believe this generation is leaning toward. My classroom is comfortable with many seating options to meet the needs of all students. I also acknowledge the many learning styles that I have in my room at once. Creating google slides has helped me meet my goal of providing adequate learning opportunities for each child in my room!
