About the store
I have currently been teaching for 2 years. After college, I substituted and worked in a preschool before long term subbing for 12 weeks in an elementary. When my 12 weeks were over, I got a full-term position at a high school teaching Photography I, Photography II & Printmaking, Ceramics, and Visual Arts Composition. Despite being a young teacher, there are many creative ideas I have to keep the students engaged and controlled- whether it is classroom management or lessons.

This is an assignment to be done in the student's sketchbook. They will need to select 4 elements and 4 principles to find examples of in magazines and cut them out. Using text as a graphic device, students will need to creatively label each image they chose, and write a sentence about how that image is an example of the element or principle they are showing. About the store

Experience

I have currently been teaching for 2 years. After college, I substituted and worked in a preschool before long term subbing for 12 weeks in an elementary. When my 12 weeks were over, I got a full-term position at a high school teaching Photography I, Photography II & Printmaking, Ceramics, and Visual Arts Composition. Despite being a young teacher, there are many creative ideas I have to keep the students engaged and controlled- whether it is classroom management or lessons.

Teaching style

My teaching style is fairly laid back, but disciplined. As long as students are in their seats (unless the lesson specifies otherwise) and using their time wisely, I am happy. I encourage students to focus on personal expression, and try to give lessons that covers the needed standards while allowing students to take it in their own direction.

My own education history

I went to Kennesaw State University and majored in Art Education. My certification is for grades PK-12. I have spent time student teaching in every grade level, including adaptive art.

Additional biographical information

I recently got married and my husband and I currently have wanderlust. Therefore, I am taking a year off of work after this school year to travel and gain the experience and knowledge of other cultures. Despite this being a financial risk, we feel the reward will be so much greater and allow us to truly experience life before settling down. I am excited to see how the various cultures we come across will inspire and fuel future lessons to come. TPT will be one of my main sources of income on the road, and I am hoping to share as much of the various art techniques I learn while we see the world!
