Foldable parent letter to be sent home weekly/monthly. I have put it in an editable word document. I like to keep my parents up to date with a monthly "classroom flyer".
I like to give parents resources and links to helpful websites, tutoring opportunities, and local events that they may not otherwise hear about. My parents really seem to enjoy it.
I have this PowerPoint set up on the student's computers. They work in teams of 2 and complete the powerpoint with research of a state that was assigned to them. I usually use this as an extension of their State Reports. The students research the weather in the state they did their reports over. Once everyone has completed their powerpoints I email them to myself and have a presentation day. The students dress up as weathermen/women and present the weather to the class. It is so fun!

"Give me a break" Kit-Kat Card. I use these cards to monitor how long and frequently students are going to the bathroom outside of scheduled group bathroom breaks.
This is a letter for student teachers to use at the beginning of their student teaching experience. Feel free to customize it however you see fit so that students and parents get to see your personality. It was a wonderful way for me to open the door for communication to parents I had no other way of getting into contact with.
