About the store

Experience

I have taught all levels of high school mathematics over the past 20+ years at a private school in central Virginia. Most every year, I have taught some level of AP Calculus as well as a class beyond the AP Calculus level. I have also been fortunate enough to have participated in the AP reading for over 7 years.

Teaching style

Student centered: dialogue, activities, discovery, ... My first priority is to get to know my students and guide them to understand how to think logically about mathematical concepts.

My own education history

Public education through high school, graduating from Foley High School in south Alabama. Undergraduate degree in physics from Samford University and a Ph.D. in Mathematics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham.
