I have created live show content for Grammy Award winning artists. Designed virtual sets and backgrounds for stage production shows aboard Holland America and Celebrity cruise lines. Worked with analysts to create B2B marketing for major companies including: Boeing, 3M, Google, BMW, Interstate Batteries, the US Government and the Government of Chile. I started my own photography and videography business in 2015. I created motion graphics to promote prime commercial real-estate around the Dallas area that is now known as the Colony. Finally, I have been teaching high school students since 2017 and continue to create content and capture events ranging from the Miss Texas Pageant to corporate content, high school performances and the weekend wedding.

"Menu For Success" gives the learner the chance to choose how they want to learn and earn their grade. Whether they create a few large productions or many small productions, they are in total control of earning their grade while putting in the work. This process was created in 2020 when many of my students did not have access to cameras or gear due to remote learning. It required them to get creative with mobile apps and their phone or devices. This concept works in a classroom setting just as

Experience

Teaching style

I believe in project based learning through meaningful projects. Doing assignments just to do assignments for the sake of doing them, is not motivational. Many of my projects are geared toward a larger purpose, an external client, demo reel and self promotional content. While I supply the "how to" and instructional aspect of each lesson, it is up to my learners to come up with a suitable topic that is meaningful to them. My course sets the bar beyond what is required to pass the ACA certification. Students not only learn to create content but learn what they need to start a business of their own.

Awards & shining teacher moments

I was a TSPRA Crystal Award Finalist for my work on “Project 2020”, a series of 306 videos. In 2020, our seniors did not have a graduation ceremony due to the lockdown. I created a custom video for each graduate that contained video recordings, photos and messages from family and teachers. More importantly, some of my students created their own video/photo business before graduating high school and are still going strong today. On occasion, I get to call on them to by my 2nd for various projects I acquire.
