About the store
My love for education began ten years ago when I began working for a local learning center. I was shocked to discover how many students struggled with math and lacked confidence in their ability to solve difficult problems. I noticed a lot of the students who struggled were in the middle grades 4-8. Building skills in these grade is essential for understanding proportional reasoning and algebra readiness. In the past decade, I have managed a learning center, taught middle school math in public school districts, and tutored online. My mission is to break down challenging math concepts in a way that all students can understand and help them build a solid math foundation.

Teaching style

I believe in hands on learning and movement in the classroom. (Middle school students need this!) That's why I love using task cards and other activities that can be adapted for small group or individual stations. I also think you can never have enough practice for students, so I have included traditional worksheets that can be printed out or posted online.

Additional biographical information

I currently tutor small groups online, but my main job is being a mom to two wonderful children. I love creating resources that I truly feel will benefit students and that I can use with my own children as well! When I am not teaching I love to read books, run with a local group, and cook new recipes.
