Teaching style

My teaching style is all about clarity, support, and engagement. I believe students learn best when they feel successful, so I focus on breaking down complex math concepts into manageable steps, using visuals, hands-on practice, and real-life connections. Whether I’m designing lessons for a co-taught classroom or a small-group setting, I always prioritize scaffolded instruction, student independence, and confidence-building. My goal is to help every learner—especially those with unique needs—feel empowered to tackle math with success.

My own education history

I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary and Special Education from Western Governors University, which gave me a strong foundation in inclusive and differentiated instruction. I also earned two graduate degrees from WGU: a Master’s in Curriculum and Instruction and a Master’s in Instructional Design. This combination equips me to create resources that are not only standards-aligned and accessible, but also thoughtfully designed to support engagement, clarity, and success for all learners.

Additional biographical information

Teaching has always been more than a job for me—it's a way to empower students and show them that they can succeed, especially when the path isn’t easy. As a Special Education Math teacher, I’ve learned that small victories in understanding can lead to big confidence gains. I began creating my own resources to meet my students’ unique needs, and now I’m passionate about sharing those tools with other educators. When I’m not teaching or creating, I enjoy crocheting, organizing (yes, I’m that teacher), and spending time with family.
