This twelve question scavenger hunt is a great way to review topics of area and perimeter. Reviews using the area formula, using grids to count area and perimeter, and use critical thinking skills to find missing dimensions. Students will have a great time solving this scavenger hunt! Answer key and student work space worksheet included.
This activity/project can be used after finishing area. Students will be required to design a zoo/safari using a variety of shapes. They will then be asked to find the area of each part of their zoo. There are multiple extension activities which can be used to review material previously covered and to extend learning. I have also included blank grid paper that can be copied and used for the project.
