This webquest explores the Teachers.scholastic.com website all about Ellis Island. It has a lot of questions and detailed instructions for students to easily find the information. The website also has a lot of primary sources (videos, audio clips, and photographs) which help engage students in the topic.

This is a Webquest to help students understand the meaning behind symbols and colors in North African Art. It also helps them realize that there are other forms of art other than what they are used to. I used the National African Art Museum's website as a guide and built questions to go along with it. There is an activity for them to complete at the very end as well.

This is a different way to take guided notes, there are coloring options and graphics to help those visual learners really cement the information in their minds. I have used it quite successfully in my own classroom and am very happy that the students have a way to take notes and doodle simultaneously. This bundle is a power point and guided notes (both blank and filled out) to teach high school students a brief history/overview of psychology and the perspectives used in this science. This is a psychological experiment that I use with the brain unit. After we discuss the nervous and endocrine systems, I use this activity to prove that the stimulus is causing their bodies to react in some way even if we are not consciously aware of it. These are the instructions for a debate on oil fracking. The resolution is: The United States federal government should ban oil fracking. The students will then partner up and develop an argument for and an argument against that resolution because on the day of the debate, I draw out of a hat for who debates on the affirmative and who debates on the negative side.
