This is a 17 question quiz on rhetorical appeals in advertisements. It is in a google form, so it is self grading. This is perfect as an introduction to ethos logos and pathos.

The following assignment provides a YouTube link and a google doc that allows students to record the use of Ethos, Logos, and Pathos in different advertisements. It is a fun and engaging activity for all students and is great as an introduction to rhetorical appeals!

This product can be used as whole class instruction, group work, or individual work. It allows students to analyze rhetorical appeals in magazine advertisements. It is six slides, with 5 magazine clips and guiding questions on each slide. There is a google forms version of the quiz available in my store. It works really well as an introduction to Ethos, Logos, and Pathos!

This will allow student to create their own advertisement using THREE rhetorical appeals. The worksheet explains the guidelines, gives them a space to brainstorm, and then provides a place to write their script. I have also included a sample advertisement so that students have a reference.
