Outline to support the theme "Stand up for what is right" from The Hope Chest by Karen Schwabach. Students can fill in the sentence starters in order to complete an essay about the theme while including examples from the text.
Students will use passages focused on the American Revolution to practice text structure. Students will play the game with a partner or in a group of 3. Prior knowledge of the different text structures is required. Playing this game with neon play dough and black lights makes it extra fun!

This project involves 4th grade economy vocabulary. Goes along with the 4th grade social studies unit for economy. Students create an invention and use their knowledge learned in class to discuss the supply, demand, currency, etc. of their invention.

These open house stations are a great way to get parents moving around the room to view student work and information while patiently waiting their turn to talk with you :) Slides are editable so you can title each with the station number and write a description below for them to follow. Some examples you could use are: meet the teacher, contact me, PTA info, explore your website, volunteer sign ups, etc.
This is a fun, interactive game that your whole class can play together. Simply flip through the slides to practice the students multiplication fact fluency. This can be done with your whole class at once and have them yell out the answers, have 2 at a time race for the right answer or use in a small group.
This is a great replacement for homework or as a challenge for your students in class! The books can be cut out and posted for everyone to see how much your students love to read :) Appropriate for students in grades 3-6.

Balanced Literacy, Close Reading, English Language Arts
This resource aligns with the book "Divided Loyalties" and helps students break apart the meaning of a quote from the Declaration of Independence. Also aligns with Module 3 Unit 2, 4th grade EL Education. Students will use context clues to find the meaning of complex vocabulary. They will then use those words to find the meaning of a quote from the Declaration of Independence.
This is a great reading challenge in place of homework or to do with your students in class! You can cut out the books to be hung up for everyone to see how much your students love to read!
This word family fluency practice is great for young readers or struggling older readers. Students can practice finding different word families and reading multiple times for practice.
These are great cards to practice multi-digit multiplication. The cards contain 2 digit, 3 digit, area model, word problems and estimation practice. These can be used independently or as a small group instructional group.
This is a great way to introduce the module 4 topic to 4th graders. Print and cut all task cards. You must have a copy of each book in order to do the scavenger hunt. I have attached a large and small copy that the students will record their answers on. Students will collect an answer from each book. The line that is bold is the letter they will collect. Once they have collected all 15 letters, unscramble to write the final answer! Answer Key included :)
End of year project that goes along with North Carolina 4th grade standards. Also includes standards from special areas such as PE, music, art and Spanish.
