About the store

Experience

I am a 5th-grade math and science teacher with 18 years of teaching experience, including 13 years in 5th grade. I’ve worked with a wide range of learners and understand the challenges of balancing rigor, engagement, and time constraints in the classroom.

Teaching style

My teaching style is rooted in making math meaningful, accessible, and engaging for all students. I focus on building conceptual understanding while also providing structured practice so students can gain confidence and independence. In my classroom, I prioritize: Opportunities for discussion, reasoning, and critical thinking Low-prep, high-impact activities that maximize instructional time Every resource I create is designed to be practical, easy to implement, and effective for real classrooms—not just ideal scenarios.

Awards & shining teacher moments

Some of my proudest moments as a teacher come from seeing students shift their mindset about math, especially those who start the year feeling unsure of their abilities. Watching students grow in confidence, explain their thinking, and take ownership of their learning is what drives my work.

My own education history

I hold a Master's Degree in Elementary Education and have spent my career continuing to grow as an educator through classroom experience, collaboration, and ongoing professional learning. My focus has always been on strengthening my understanding of math instruction, upper-elementary standards, and effective strategies to support diverse learners.

Additional biographical information

I create resources specifically for upper elementary math teachers who want engaging, standards-aligned activities without spending hours prepping. My goal is to save you time while helping your students build deep understanding and confidence in math. You’ll find a strong focus on: 5th-grade math standards Vocabulary development and concept clarity Seasonal and real-world connections Print-and-go options Ways to make math accessible to all students
