Welcome!
My name is Megan and I am a 4th Grade Teacher!
My "why" takes me back to playing "school" with my siblings in my basement as a 6 year old! My 2 year old brother at the time was going to learn his multiplication facts! Lol!
I have always had a creative side to me, and wanted to share my teaching resources with other wonderful educators such as yourselves. My creations are thought out, and always in the best interest of the kids. I update my store weekly, keeping up with the trends that surround education as a whole! I hope you enjoy my activities as much as I do.

I created this original grammar quiz to test my kiddos on the Grammar portion of CKLA! It is incorporated quite often in the lessons, however, not assessed formally. I quiz them on grammar the week before we take the final unit assessment, use it to your liking! :)

I searched high and low for a "Port" practice page, ended up creating one LOL! This aligns with any curriculum that teaches prefixes and suffixes. The root word "Port" is a hard concept to teach, so I created a short quick review worksheet for you! :) Enjoy!

Pair this gift tag with a pair of sunglasses on Amazon for Valentine's Day for your kiddos! I purchase them in bulk (very inexpensive) and put this note on their desks! This can also be used for any other gift related to shining bright!

CKLA Unit 7: American Revolution - Big Idea Chapter Questions (Chs 1-7)
I use this resource as morning work or group/independent work after we read the chapters. Unit 7 is VERY informational and detailed, so I created these BIG IDEA questions as a way for students to gather the most important message from each chapter. This also helps them practice their writing skills, and focuses on the cause and effect concept which is the writing goal of the unit!

I sent this home at the beginning of the unit to families! Students bring in a handful of materials to decorate their poet journals! This is such a fun way to get students involved and engaged to start the unit! They love this!

Parts of Speech Posters - Words and Posters!
A FAVORITE OF MINE! I love hanging these in my classroom to keep up all year round! Students can quickly reference the posters during class. They are simple, to the point, and allow for student engagement with their various colors and fun pictures!!! Includes - pink letters that spell out (parts of speech) and 8 posters! Nouns, adjectives, verbs, proper nouns, conjunctions, adverbs, prepositions, and pronouns! All include definitions, examples, and pictures!

CKLA Unit 7: The American Revolution Cause and Effect FINAL WRITING RUBRIC
I use this rubric for the end of unit cause and effect writings! I break the grading down into three sections, and allow my students to see what I am looking for exactly! This makes grading these long essays seamless!

Mother's Day Magazine Writing! Great activity for Mother's Day and for students to practice their writing skills! I also created covers for Aunts and Grandmas as well! Includes brainstorming page, final writing pages, fun fact page, and coupon booklet! :)

Figurative Language - ICE CREAM!
A great introduction to poetry! Students match the ice cream scoops to the correct definition and build an ice cream cone! Have students put a small amount of glue on the top of each definition, and place the term on top so it can flip open. You can have students glue onto construction paper, OR print the materials around 65-75% so they fit into a smaller writing journal! My kiddos looked back at the ice cream scoops during the entire unit.

A great template to write the conclusions for the Cause & Effect Essay! They do not provide a page in the workbook (lol)! I collect my students writing pages throughout the unit and organize them into a packet! This conclusion paper is perfect to staple to the back of it after paragraph 4! :)

I use this resource EVERY year for classroom dojo rewards! I have an indivdual reward system as well as class rewards! My students LOVE this! They save up points for the bigger prizes, and they are all working together to try and reach class goals. It is so much fun to see them commit to the bigger goals and work on saving points and working toward an end result. SUB TICKETS!!! (My favorite resource ever)
MY FAVORITE THING EVER!!! I put this in my sub binder and cut and laminate 4 tickets to velcro on top of this paper! I have my sub handout these tickets to FOUR students that showed exceptional behavior while I was out. The students hold onto these tickets until I get back (I encourage them to leave them in their desk or somewhere safe). When I get back, they earn 2+ dojo for earning the sub ticket. This works WONDERS in my classroom.

Chromebook Contract! (Chromebook rules, Chrombook signing, & Contract INCLUDED)!
I use this at the beginning of the year on the first day of school! You can use the blank chromebook for students to fingerprint, sign, initial, etc., once they sign their contracts! I hang both posters above our computer cart so the students are reminded. You can print these at any size. I normally print 11x14. I keep the contracts in my student files to access as needed. They LOVE this and it is a great activity to start the year.
