I copy this page on 5 different colors of paper. This was once a day I collect a color cover to read through what the students have been writing and we "talk" back and forth. By the end of the week I have read through everyone's journals but I didn't have to read all 20 at once!

I love to bring the Zero the Hero poster out on the days we have a 0 in the ones place starting a new tens. The kiddos love to recite the poem... shared reading in math!

I have this poster laminated and posted next to the poem at my poetry/fluency center. The underlining of digraphs and marking up words goes along with the lesson taught using the first grade Wilson Fundations kit.

I have this poster printed and laminated. It hangs on a magnetic clip outside my classroom door. When my class has perfect attendance for the day I'm sure to display the poster for all who pass to see. If we don't I simply turn it around blank. My first graders love to show off when they are al present!

I have used this whole page on a clipboard for students who needed to see the day format to help with transitions. Great for kids on the spectrum of with ADD/ADHD. Could be used to print and cut apart for a mini agenda list near class calendar.
