I am currently teaching 5th-grade writing, science, and STEM in south central Pennsylvania. I have been teaching at my current school for the past 5 years. I am passionate about all things education but STEM education really lights my passion!

Teaching style

I am a firm believer that if I am not engaged in a lesson neither will my students. I am passionate about making learning relevant and authentic to my students by using concepts they will encounter in their lives.

Awards & shining teacher moments

While I have only been teaching for 5 years, I have been the grade level coordinator for 5th grade in my district for the past 3 years.

My own education history

I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and Special Education with a minor in Integrative STEM education from Millersville University in 2018. I have also completed my Master's Degree in Assessment, Curriculum, and Teaching with a focus on STEM Education from Millersville University in 2021.
