Need a fun way to show how germs spread? Get a potato and slice it into 4 pieces. Put one slice into a bag for the control, one slice blown on by students, one slice rubbed on a surface, and the last slice handled by your class. Put all the slices into separate baggies and leave in a dark place for one week. After a week, have your class observe your potato slices and see the germs!
A fun way to show students how objects sink or float. Take a orange with its peel and an orange with its peel off and put both into water. Students will see that one orange will sink while the other will float.
