Awards & shining teacher moments
I have served on several citywide curriculum committees as well as statewide SOL committees. I was given the Teacher of the Year honor for my school in 2012 and I was also a Citywide Finalist for Teacher of the Year in 2012.
My own education history
I earned a BA of History from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and a Masters of Secondary Education from Old Dominion University. I have also recently earned a K-12 Library Science endorsement from Old Dominion University.
