I have taught 8th grade creative writing along with sophomore speech. I have also taught English/Literature in the 9th-12th grade classroom. Only about 2 years total, but I love making resources and have a BS in English and a BS and MS in psychology. I have been teaching psychology adjunctly for 5 years now.

Scientific Method Practice
This is a VERY basic practice for introducing the scientific method. We came up with a simple research question and used Facebook to gather answers. You could use other kids in the classroom/school, family members, etc. This sheet walks them through questions about most of the steps in the scientific method down to whether the results matched their hypothesis and how they can tell. Experience

Teaching style
Hands on when I can be. I love to incorporate current events or pop culture when I can. I feel like if students enjoy the material they are looking at, they will be able to relate to it better, and it also makes it more applicable to them.

I won a few English scholarships in college. I am also a member of Phi Kappa Phi, Omicron Delta Kappa, Psi Chi, Cardinal Key Honor Society, and Sigma Tau Delta.

Double majored in English and Psychology from 2010-2014.

Additional biographical information
I am just a mama who loves being with her boys, and I love all things education. My husband thinks it's funny because I collect literature anthologies and textbooks. We probably have 2000 books in our house if not more because everyone in my household enjoys reading. I own a blog called Messy Bits Mama, which is where the name for my store comes from, and I have a pieces published along with a devotional I wrote with a college friend of mine geared toward busy mamas, but I'm working on several other writing projects at the moment.
