I made this system to use in my 2nd grade classroom after I got tired of a system that just didn't work. Fix-it tickets are designed to be used by the teacher to hold students accountable for choices they make in school. Before introducing them, I teach my students that everyone makes their own choices. When we make choices that negatively impact others, ourselves, or objects, we need to do something to fix it. When I give a Fix-it ticket, I fill out the behavior and the time that they need to
Use this label to let your students know what bin to put their classroom library books in after they are done using them! To keep my classroom library organized, I have all of my students put books they're done with back in one book return bin. Then, I have two to three students who are trained on how to put books back on shelves, put the books in the bin back.
I turned these labels into stickers and then put them on each of my classroom library books. It'll be a big project - but it is WORTH IT. Then, I put a matching (but larger) sticker on each bin that holds books in my library. My students are then taught to put books back in the bin that has the matching sticker.
Post this in your classroom library to remind your students what is expected! Check out my Classroom Library Organization bundle to get all the resources!
To decrease the amount of tattling that occurs in my classroom, I implemented "tattle mail." I have a mailbox in my classroom (bought off of Amazon) and a pile of tattle mail near the mailbox. Students may grab a tattle mail slip, fill it out with their tattle, and stick it in my mailbox. I check my mailbox often, usually recycling most of the tattles. However, every now and then there is something that I need to address :)
