My teaching philosophy can be summarized by the simple phrase “motivation is everythingâ€. I believe that a motivated student can learn in one day what it takes a bored unmotivated student a year. Furthermore, I don't believe in extrinsic forms of motivation like “carrot and stick†or other emotional payment methods. I am primarily interested in providing intrinsic motivation for my students, giving them the will and desire to learn on their own, not because of external rewards, but because they WANT to learn.
As well, I believe in creativity and providing a dynamic lesson plan that student’s of all ages can find interest in. Learning a new language can be tedious at times, there is no avoiding that. However, it is important that the teacher and student have an open dialog and that they are able to trust each other.
