This lab allows students to compare the distances thrown of a paper plane vs. a paper ball. It is a strong introduction to the scientific method: ask a question; use scientific variables; make a hypothesis; follow a procedure; conduct multiple trials; collect and analyze data; draw a conclusion.
This scientific investigation requires hard-boiled eggs (labeled #1) and raw eggs (labeled #2) for students to make observations of and draw conclusions from.
