This puzzle requires students to solve a variety of problems involving the order of operations. I purposely included problems such as 6(3+2) and 4(2) to introduce my students to the concept that a number outside a set of parentheses should be multiplied by the value inside the parentheses. If I simply gave my students the 32 problems in this activity on a worksheet, they would GROAN!
