The Super Bowl is right around the corner and this is a great way to gets kids excited about math! Students will research football fast facts, answer problem solving questions, plan a trip to the Super Bowl stadium, survey their classmates and create a graph using their data, and plan a Super Bowl party!

Students will plan a 24-hour getaway to a destination of their choice! They’ll need to find flights, hotel, activities to do, and places to eat. Fun a creative way to use knowledge of time and money.
Fraction Task Cards (20) and Recording Sheet: Can be used as a center, rotation, scavenger hunt, etc.

Real-life experiences rounding money : Students will use an online grocery add to select items, round them to the nearest ten cents and dollar, and find the total sum.
Students will need an individual box of candy hearts to complete the activity. Students will label fractions as a set, compare fractions, add fractions, draw area models, create equal groups (dividing with and without remainders), and create a graph.
Students will create a map of a city. Their map must include the following: compass rose, map key with at least 10 symbols, labeled streets, and a title.
American Civil War: Students will choose an important person and answer research questions about that person. They'll then take their research and create a Google Slide Show as a means of sharing out their learning.

Students will navigate through a kid friendly website and answer questions about the history of Saint Patrick's Day. They will also read a traditional Irish food recipe and answer questions.
Through this activity, students will learn about the history of the Super Bowl, research Super Bowl questions, and use their math skills to solve Super Bowl based questions.
Students will choose an ancient Greece daily life topic to research. They will use the checklist provided to create a visual presentation of what they learned.
After going on a field trip, students will complete a reflection on where they went, what they learned, their favorite part of the day, and any changes they would have made.
