Experience

An early childhood educator with almost a decade in the field, I have been dedicated to serving children through every step of my career, from my work as 1st Grade Lead Teacher in a public afterschool setting to my position as Curriculum Director for a startup homeschool alternative for diverse learners during the pandemic. I received my M.Ed. in Early Childhood Education from UMass Boston and am licensed in the state of Massachusetts.

Teaching style

My teaching celebrates children as the creators of their own knowledge and recognizes play as the best path to learning! I know that even the littlest learners are capable of achieving big things with the right scaffolding, and believe that kids deserve opportunities and guidance to engage with real-life questions, problems, and materials. I'm a firm believer in interdisciplinary learning, empowering students to forge new connections between their facts and follow their curiosity wherever it leads them; as any former student will attest, I absolutely adore questions... especially ones I can't answer!
