In our classroom, when we read a book, we put it on our mental book shelf – I created this to use as a monthly reading log, where students fill in the titles they read on the spines of each book. There is a black and white option as well as a color option. It’s a simple powerpoint setup, so you can change the colors/sizes/amounts of books to meet your needs. Happy reading!
I print these on snowy colored paper (light blue, blue, white, off white, etc.), and whenever one of my kids finishes a book readers writers workshop or DEAR time they fill one of these out! Their name, the title and author go on the top lines, and then everyday I have a different prompt (Who was your favorite character? What was the setting in your story?
