I am state and nationally recognized as an award winning lesson plan writer. I am certified trauma informed teacher. I have been trained and use APL strategies, Nurtured heart Approach, Orton Gillingham, Words Their Way, Jan Richardson Next Step in Guided Reading, and Math by the Book.

My own education history

I have a bachelors in Elementary Education K-6 and Multi categorical Special Education K-6 LD, ID, and BD. I have my Masters in Reading with a certification as a reading specialist.

Additional biographical information

I am from West Virginia and have lived here my whole life. I have always been a lifelong learner and I believe in instilling that into my students by giving them the right support and tools they need to be successful readers.
