This is a final project for middle grade students to complete after reading Ghost Boys. Students are required to complete a minimum of 3 tasks. Each set of tasks will provide teachers with at least one reading, one writing, and one media assessment. Students can complete this project digitally or the assignment can be printed and distributed.

This is an assignment for Grade 6-7 students to complete during or after learning about how to classify an animal or plant. Students are asked to choose an animal or plant to complete research on and fill in the slides. Students are also given the freedom to creatively design a slide with images, words, design, etc., for their animal or plant of choice.

This product can be used at the start of the school year to help students adjust to back-to-school. It can also be used mid year after a Letter Writing Unit. Students are asked to write a letter to themselves. Once complete, teachers are encouraged to put letters into envelopes and have students open their letters on the last day of school. Students love to read what they wrote (and usually comment on how much their writing and ideas have improved!)

This product can be provided to students so that they can track physical activity in their daily lives. Students complete weekly logs and reflect on their activity choices, duration, and intensity. After a set period of time that you decide, have students complete the final reflection and encourage students to set fitness goals. This product can be printed or completed digitally.

This product can be used as an assessment. Students create a number by answering questions about themselves. Then, they are asked to write the number in standard, expanded, and written form. They are also asked to round.

NEW YEAR 2023 Task! After Winter Break, students often need reminders of classroom expectations. In the first week back, co-construct classroom expectations (some that already existed and maybe new ones that should be in place). Student voice is key for this activity. Have students sign and then display on your VLE or in your classroom.
